A place for moms. I know that there are plenty of places to go online. But this place will focus on two (or probably more as time goes on) areas: Working at Home–achieving that life balance while nuturing your business and your family. Second, living with and managing mental health issues, such as  anxiety, depression, and OCD. It’s a safe and welcoming place. Hop along and join the ride.

My Writing Bio: Wendy Komancheck loves writing about small to medium-sized businesses and stories about unsung heroes. Although she’s partial to her native Lancaster County roots, Komancheck will also write about successful small to mid-size businesses and people outside of her region.

Additionally, Komancheck is passionate about helping businesses and non-profits write their articles, blogs, small grants, letters, press releases, and reports. Komancheck gained experience in these areas through promoting her own small business, as well as writing a grant, many press releases, newsletters, and other corporate writing for local non-profits, as well as brochure copy for a small graphic arts company. She also completed two online courses–one in editing and the other in grant writing.

With over 100 + articles published under Wendy Komancheck’s name, her clips have appeared in Antiques and Collecting, Grit, and Farmers’ Markets Today, as well as her local newspapers and regional magazines. Additionally, she’s written regularly for Moose River Media in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. She’s covered company profiles and industry trends for six of their trade magazines: Growing North; Farming: Journal of Northeast Agriculture, Forest Products Equipment, Landscape Design-Build (when their magazine was called Landscape Construction Management), Tree Services, and Turf.

In 2010, Komancheck broke into two other trade magazines: she wrote four articles for Garden Center magazine and two articles for Fresh Cup magazine. In 2011, she started writing features for Central Penn’s Business Journal’s county supplements and advertorials, and she started writing regular columns for the Ephrata Review and LancMoms, a supplement of Lancaster Newspapers. As a final note, Komancheck joined Garden Writers Association in November 2010.
